Help, Tips, and Hints
a. From the Start Menu, select Settings | Control Panel.
b. Double-click on Display.
c. Click on the Settings tab.
d. In the "Color palette" section, select "High Color" or "65536 Colors" or "16-bit".
e. Click OK.
a. Open a Viewset.
b. Position the cursor on top of the 3D image.
c. Click the right mouse button. A menu will appear.
d. Click on "Options". A "VRML Browser Options" dialog box will appear.
e. Click on the General tab.
f. In the "Hardware Acceleration" section, make sure that the checkbox to the left of "Use hardware acceleration" is checked.
g. Click OK.
a. Open a Viewset.
b. Position the cursor on top of the 3D image.
c. Click the right mouse button. A menu will appear.
d. Place the cursor over the "Graphics" menu item. Another menu will appear.
e. This second menu should contain a "Dithering" menu item. If there is not a check to the left of the word "Dithering", click on "Dithering".
To Navigate in a Viewset:
1. Press Page Up or Page Down or click on the left or right arrows along the bottom edge of the 3D image to cycle through the views of the property.
2. Click on View or V located in between the left and right arrows along the bottom edge of the 3D image to move directly to a particular view.
3. Walk around the property:
a. Press Ctrl+Shift+W or click on Walk or W located alongside the upper-left-hand corner of the 3D image.
b. Position the cursor on top of the 3D image.
c. Press and hold the left mouse button.
d. Drag the mouse to the left to turn left, right to turn right, up to walk forward and down to walk backward.
4. Examine the property:
a. Press Ctrl+Shift+S or click on Study or S located alongside the lower-left-hand corner of the 3D image.
b. Position the cursor on top of the 3D image.
c. Press and hold the left mouse button.
d. Drag the mouse to rotate the property.
a. Position the cursor on top of the 3D image.
b. Click the right mouse button.
c. Select Help and then select Help Index and then select User's Guide.
Hints:
If you get stuck underground, click on the left or right arrows along the bottom edge of the 3D image to move yourself above ground.
